Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry your experience did not meet your expectations. For clarity, the diagnostic fee was discussed and authorized before any testing was performed. While the coolant leak was found to be related to a failed heater hose quick connect, our estimate included replacing the damaged components and deteriorated hoses to provide a complete repair rather than a temporary fix. After declining the repairs, you advised us that the vehicle would be towed. For insurance and liability reasons, we do not allow customer vehicle repairs to be performed on our property. We also had to keep our parking lot and shop entrances accessible so we could continue serving other scheduled auto repair customers. We understand that repair costs and recommendations are not always what customers hope to hear, and we respect every customer's right to seek alternative repairs. We are currently in the middle of remodeling and upgrading our waiting area. Some of the seating you saw is temporary while we replace it with new, more comfortable furniture that is easier for our customers to get in and out of. Many of our guests are older, and this update is something we’ve been working on specifically to better serve them and make their visit more comfortable. As far as pricing, transparency and trust are a big part of how we do business. We provide digital inspections, photos, and clear estimates so our customers can make informed decisions with no pressure. We were unable to locate a record of your visit in our system, but we would genuinely welcome the chance to review anything you were quoted. Hi Nathan, we want to address this situation clearly so anyone reading has the full picture. For large and special-order repairs, we require a deposit before ordering parts. This is standard in our industry, especially when parts are non-returnable and ordered specifically for a vehicle. In your case, the suspension components were backordered, which was outside of our control. We stayed in communication and provided updates as we received them. When you chose not to move forward, we immediately agreed to refund your deposit. However, during a visit to our shop, there was aggressive and threatening behavior toward a member of our team. We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. Our employees deserve a safe and respectful workplace, and we will always stand behind them. Because of that, we required that any further interaction be handled directly with ownership. Once ownership returned to town, multiple attempts were made to contact you to arrange the refund. When you came into the shop, your deposit was returned in full. To anyone reading this, Dillon’s Automotive is committed to professionalism, transparency, and respect. We take pride in creating a positive environment for both our customers and our team. We will always go the extra mile to help our customers, but we will also always protect our people.
